A vulnerability has been identified in CheckPoint VPN-1 SecureClient, which could be exploited by malicious users to obtain elevated privileges. This flaw is due to a design error in the "SR_Watchdog.exe" file that launches the GUI process (SR_GUI.exe) using the "CreateProcess()" function with a NULL "pApplicationName" parameter, which could be exploited by local attackers to create an environment where a malicious program will be executed with the privileges of the user running the vulnerable application.
