A vulnerability has been identified in Clam AntiVirus (ClamAV), which may be exploited by remote attackers or malware to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service. This flaw is due to a heap overflow error in "libclamav/upx.c" when processing malformed UPX-packed executables, which could be exploited by an unauthenticated remote attacker to execute arbitrary commands or crash an affected application by sending an e-mail containing a specially crafted UPX file to a vulnerable system.
