Two vulnerabilities were identified in Microsoft Windows, which could be exploited by remote attackers to cause a denial of service. These flaws are due to errors in the rendering of Windows Metafile (WMF) images containing specially crafted "ExtCreateRegion" or "ExtEscape" function calls, which could be exploited by attackers to cause a vulnerable application using the Windows Graphics Rendering Engine to crash or consume a large amount of system resources by convincing a user to visit a specially crafted Web page or open a malicious WMF image.
