A vulnerability has been identified in CheckPoint VPN-1 SecureClient, which could be exploited by malicious users to bypass security policies. This flaw is due to a design error where the application uses a local copy of the remotely supplied policy file (local.scv) to perform client integrity/security checks before allowing the VPN client to connect the network, which could be exploited by malicious users to bypass the administratively-defined security policies by continuously replacing the policy file.
