Two vulnerabilities were identified in GNUMP3d, which could be exploited by malicious users to conduct directory traversal or symlink attacks.

The first issue is due to an unspecified input validation error when processing CGI and cookie parameters, which could be exploited by malicious users to conduct directory traversal attacks.

The second issue is due to an error where the application creates temporary files in an insecure manner when indexing music files, which may be exploited by local attackers to overwrite arbitrary files with the privileges of the user running the vulnerable script.
