A vulnerability has been identified in Realplayer and Helix Player, which could be exploited by remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands. This issue is due to a format string error when processing ".rp" (relpix) or ".rt" (realtext) files containing a specially crafted "image handle" or "timeformat" attribute, which could be exploited by an attacker to take complete control of an affected system by convincing a user to open a malformed rp/rt file.
Note : A fully functional exploit has been released.
