Fedora has released updated packages to correct two vulnerabilities identified in Apache. The first flaw is due to an error when Apache handles byterange requests to CGI scripts, which could be exploited by remote attackers to exhaust all RAM and swap space on the server and cause a denial of service. The second issue is due to an error in the "SSLVerifyClient" directive that does not properly validate client certificates, which could be exploited by remote attackers to bypass security restrictions and gain access, without a valid client certificate, to protected contents.
