Two vulnerabilities were identified in CuteNews, which could be exploited by malicious users to conduct cross site scripting attacks or disclose the full web path. The first flaw is due to an input validation error in the "search.php" script that does not properly filter a specially crafted "selected_search_arch" parameter, which may be exploited by attackers to cause arbitrary scripting code to be executed by the user's browser. The second issue is due to an input validation error in "show_news.php" when processing an invalid "archive" variable, which could be exploited to display the installation path.
