A new vulnerability has been identified in BakBone NetVault, which could be exploited by local attackers to obtain elevated privileges. The flaw is caused due to a design error in the "nvstatsmngr.exe" process, which may be exploited by a malicious user to launch an arbitrary file (i.e. cmd.exe) with SYSTEM privileges.
